One of the first signs of puberty is when you start to develop breasts. Developing breasts can be a very worrying time. They may be a little tender and uncomfortable. They can make you feel very self-conscious and you might worry if they are too big or too small. Remember your breasts may take several years to reach their full size and shape and may get smaller when you loose weight and bigger when you gain it.
Lots of girls also find that they have one breast bigger than the other. Sometimes this evens out by the time they stop growing or the difference is unnoticeable. If you do have a distinct difference try wearing a padded bra but if that doesn't help try talking to your doctor.
When it comes to nipples, all girls are different. Some girls have large areolas (area around the nipple), some have small ones. It's the same with the actual nipple itself, which can be small or large. They are all different colours to, ranging from pink to dark brown. Some nipples are long and pointy others are short and fat. Some point upwards, some droop down and some point to the side. Some nipples even stick in instead of out (these are called inverted nipples). All nipples get hard when you are excited or cold.
There is no perfect breast size. Try and be happy whatever size they end up. Remember just as you fancy people of different shapes and sizes, so do other people.
