In a sexual relationship you have the right to:
- Choose when to have sex
- Say no to sex
- Ask for want you want
- Say what you don't want
If you have sexual contact with someone without their consent
you are committing a crime.
It is illegal to have sex with someone if they are under the age
of 16.
What to do if you have been raped or sexually
assaulted
If you want to you can go to the police to make a report. You
should do this as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can go to a
rape and sexual assault centre in Glasgow called Archway.
You can phone Archway yourself or be referred by your G.P., police,
other agency.

There are helping agencies you can contact if you have been
raped or sexually assaulted:
- Archway gives sensitive support, physical
examination and counselling for men and women. A doctor will offer
to examine you, take forensic evidence and check you for STIs.
Everything will be kept completely confidential.
Police will only be informed if you agree. This service is only
available if sexual assault or rape happened in past 7 days.
